Dead leaves rustle and dance in the chill wind that blows through neglected yards,
down at the end of the lane, where long-dead corn stalks rattle their bony Halloween
threats from nearby fields. Who dares approach this old house with its odd lights and
inky dark shadows? Not he! Didn't Mom say, "Don't knock where there's no porch light"?
Ready to flee for home at first fright, he'll hang back, guarded (he hopes) by the
rusting remnant of that skeletal fence, eyes wide, heart pounding, already knowing
that the treat's not likely to be worth the trick.
This was a relatively small painting, and has been reproduced at about the size of the
original. For that reason, it is available only in Medium Format size.
